Paris
June 2006 - Montmartre, Paris. Hilly & charming, this famous bohemian hang out is ever-enchanting.
Dinner at one of the hidden bistros and an evening stroll through the winding streets of Montmartre would relax anyone...
Check out Rue Abesses, a 5-minute walk up from the Moulin Rouge, from where it is another five mins uphill to the Sacre Coeur... At night, you get the best view in town on its steps, incl. the Eiffel tower, lit up against the sky..jpg)

London

May, 2006
London is always thrilling, whether I go in October, Jan or May... though my last visit already two weeks ago was particularly enjoyable due to the full-on, glorious weather we had!

These pictures were taken in Regent's Park. The one below shows Primrose Hill, where me and my friends got a good view of the city (including the London Eye, St. Paul's, Canary Wharf and the Dome).

Finally, since it was her 24th that day, I am showing you one more photo of this trip (the Thames at midnight), even though I did not take it myself:
January, 2006 - Greek Cafe in Earl's Court - still lovin' SW5!

Sinaia (Romania)
Only a 90-minute train ride from Bucharest (Romania's capital), the town of Sinaia is also called "The Pearl of the Carpathians"... The skiing here is excellent but the views of the mountains, castles, churches and forest are magnificent!
Named after Mount Sinai in Israel, Sinaia has a beautiful Orthodox Church & Monastery (see above).

General
March 8th, 2006. Amsterdam. I am off to Romania tomorrow.... First of all to do some skiing. Secondly, to see some of its famous castles and its capital.
I was in Alpe D'Huez a month ago and took this picture there. To me, it expresses the adventure of being at such altitude for the first time, resting for a moment, and finding myself completely surrounded by beauty, silence and thin, crisp air.
